Transforming Fear Into Taking Action to Move Ahead

Just when the caterpillar thought the world was ending he changed into a butterfly.

Fear is healthy. It’s telling you to pause and think. It might stop you for a moment. It should not stop you from continuing if you are passionate about what you are doing, are confident, and believe in your team.

Expect a Few Bumps

The difference between people that succeed and fail, is those who succeed not only understand that they will encounter challenges, they expect them. When they get to a bump they already know how to make the decision to continue. They made the decision to continue before they got started.

Look at Your Roadmap

If you are prepared you should have a roadmap, a plan to follow. When you feel afraid, look at the map. Read where you expected a bump to occur and how you expected to deal with it. This will give you confidence, and help you to move forward.

Trust the Heart to Work with the Head

There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you, and you don’t know how or why - Albert Einstein

Never make a decision when you are afraid. Fear leads to poor choices. Worry interferes electrically and chemically with the mind and the heart. Whatever you decide, stick to it. Don’t second-guess yourself. If you start doubting your decision, remind yourself that there’s a reason you chose it. You don’t need to remember the details. Trust yourself.
